The 49ers had a minor injury scare late in the week when George Kittle landed on the Friday injury report with a groin injury. He was officially listed as questionable, but he wasn’t on the team’s list of inactives, and he’ll play against the Rams.
Avoiding another huge injury was key for San Francisco. They’ll be without tackles Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey, along with fullback Kyle Juszczyk on offense. Ahkello Witherspoon is still out with a foot injury on the other side of the ball.

Running back Jeff Wilson will be active and may see action in multi-back sets and in short-yardage situations with Juszczyk out.
Matthews is inactive for the second consecutive week since re-signing with the 49ers after Jalen Hurd went on injured reserve.
