Mark Nzeocha can’t be stopped in the 49ers’ opener. He blocked a punt on the Bucs’ first series, then came up with an interception near the end of the first half. It was the second takeaway of the half for the 49ers’ defense.
San Francisco had only two interceptions all of last year, and seven takeaways total. Snagging two in the first half of Week 1 is a nice start for them.
