The 49ers defense had a dominant week of practice according to reports from their two joint sessions with the Broncos. They picked up where they left off in Monday night’s game.
They held Denver to just nine points in the first half, and started the second half on fire with a sack by safety Marcell Harris:
Harris had a couple good moments last year as a strong safety, but struggled in the preseason opener. This was a nice job to fly downhill and make a play in the backfield before Broncos quarterback Drew Lock could get out of the pocket. He had a ton of room to run had Harris not gotten him on the ground.
