49ers third-round pick Jalen Hurd hauled in his first NFL catch and first NFL touchdown in the preseason opener.
He lined up in the left slot and found an opening behind the linebackers. Hurd made the catch at the 5 and probably could’ve gone in untouched, but he showed his running back roots by finding a defender at the goal line and running through him for the touchdown.
His score gave the 49ers a 7-6 lead.
