49ers’ Deebo Samuel, Trent Williams named first-team All-Pro

The Associated Press announced its All-Pro teams on Friday, where two San Francisco 49ers were recognized as first-team All-Pros.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and left tackle Trent Williams were named to the All-Pro first-team. It was Samuel’s first All-Pro nod and Williams’ second nod but the first time he was named to the first team.

Samuel received 21 votes, edging out Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson by one vote to earn a spot on the first team. Williams was the overwhelming winner at left tackle with 46 votes. The next closest was Chargers’ Rashawn Slater with two votes.

Samuel was one of the NFL’s most dynamic offensive weapons this season. He finished with 1,845 all-purpose yards, which was the third most in the league, and had right rushing touchdowns. Samuel had 14 total touchdowns, which was tied for seventh-most in the NFL.

Williams was a force at left tackle for San Francisco this season, even earning the highest grade ever in Pro Football Focus history with a 98.2 grade.

Arguably the biggest snub on the All-Pro list was 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, who didn’t make the first or second team. Bosa led the NFL in tackle for losses and had 15.5 sacks, which ranked fourth in the league behind other All-Pros Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt, Chicago’s Robert Quinn and Cleveland’s Myles Garrett. Bosa lost out on the second team by one vote to Las Vegas’ Maxx Crosby.
