49ers coach Chip Kelly: 'I'm not going anywhere'

SANTA CLARA, Calif. _ Given the 49ers 1-5 record, the quality of the roster and the tenuous job status of the front office, coach Chip Kelly's name has been floated in social and national media as an attractive candidate for a number of college jobs.

Included in that list are LSU, Texas and even Oregon _ the school Kelly coached to a 46-7 record from 2009 through 2012 before taking the head coaching job with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Might Kelly look to eject after one year of his four-year, $24 million deal if given an opportunity?

Kelly was asked about that Thursday and lightened the mood with a joke before saying he was committed to the 49ers.

"Unless the media has an opportunity for me somewhere, I'll always explore those opportunities," Kelly said. "But I'm not going anywhere."

_Cornerback Rashard Robinson, who is going through the NFL concussion protocol, was on the field in a blue no-contact jersey.

_Running back Carlos Hyde, who won't play against Tampa Bay, was out of a sling. Hyde will be rested for Sunday's game against the Bucs, then has the bye week to heal.
