49-year-old Brett Favre says playing in the NFL is the last thing he wants to do

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre found his name in the headlines last week after a curious Instagram post quickly went viral on social media. A post on Favre’s verified Instagram announced that the 49-year-old would be coming out of retirement (again) to play in the NFL.

After the post was removed, Favre told TMZ that his Instagram account was hacked.

He was asked about the mishap during an appearance at the American Family Insurance Championship this weekend, and reiterated that he has no interest in returning to the field as a player.

“I got hacked…. Somebody obviously doesn’t have a lot to do.

The last thing I want to do is stir the pot. That’s the last thing I want to do is come back and play. No offense, but it was fun – then. I’m not coming back.”

Phew. The NFL world would not be ready for a 49-year-old Brett Favre back in training camp.
