David Pollack is hands down one of the best players in Georgia history. Pollack and QB David Greene helped turn around the Georgia program during the early days of the Mark Richt era. The University of Georgia wouldn’t be where it is today without the contributions of this dynamic pair.
Football is almost back! This week is SEC Media Days and in two days the Denver Broncos will be the first team to report for NFL training camp. With the first preseason game kicking off on August 1st, a taste of football is two weeks away. On August 3rd, Georgia’s Champ Bailey will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Back to David Pollack. The UGA legend is now a college football analyst for ESPN. He’s an integral part in the College GameDay sets and is one of my favorite media personalities in sports. Pollack rebounded nicely from suffering a career-ending neck injury while he was on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Pollack was a three time All-American at Georgia and recorded a Bulldog record 36 sacks while he was in Athens. Pollack and Herschel Walker are the only Bulldogs to be three time All-Americans. The legend out of Snellville, Georgia will forever be remembered for this play:
