The year began with a bang, as the Spygate saga dominated the entire footballing landscape in January, before attention eventually returned to matters on the pitch.
Leeds' automatic promotion hopes faded at Easter before the heartbreaking play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County.
Despite the defeat, Marcelo Bielsa signed up for another year and Leeds were soon off to Australia for a pre-season tour that saw the Whites take on Manchester United.
A fast start to the Championship season ensued, with Leeds celebrating their 100th birthday in October and ending 2019 in the automatic promotion spots, as fans dream that a 16-year Premier League exile will finally end in 2020.
