401 new infections, 54 seriously ill in Tokyo

The Tokyo metropolitan government confirmed 401 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, exceeding 400 for the first time in four days since Nov. 21, when 539 cases were confirmed.

According to the metropolitan government, the number of seriously ill patients increased by three to reach 54, the highest number since the state of emergency was lifted on May 25.
