40-year-old man left shaken after being robbed on footpath

Police in Livingston are appealing for witnesses following a robbery of a 40-year-old man.

The incident occurred on The Loan Path between Erskine Way and Logan Way around 7am yesterday.

The suspects approached the victim, assaulted him and stole a two-figure sum of cash.

The victim sustained injuries to his neck but did not require medical treatment.

Officers are keen to trace two men in connection with the incident - one of whom is described as a white male, of muscular build, around 5ft 10in in height and estimated to be in is 30s.

He was wearing a black hooded top.

The second is described as a white male, of stocky build, around 6ft 2in in height and was wearing a dark hooded top and black gloves.

Detective Constable, Steven Smith said: “This was a very frightening experience for the victim and we are appealing to anyone with any information or anyone who saw either of the men described to get in touch.”
