40 jobs being created at home repair firm's Bulwell base as it braces for peak season

Jobs are up for grabs at the Nottingham hub of emergency repairs firm HomeServe as the company gears up for its busiest time of the year.

The business, which provides home assistance services, is creating 40 jobs at its base in Aspect House in Bulwell over the next few months, with 20 people being taken on for dispatcher roles ahead of the peak autumn and winter season.

Dispatchers are responsible for speaking with engineers and booking in appointments with clients. The company is hosting an open day on Wednesday, June 12, when people can find out more details about the position.

Richard Shepherd, HomeServe chief operating officer, said: "We’re absolutely committed to growing our Nottingham presence at Aspect House.

"Key to our ongoing success is ensuring we have one of the best frontline workforces in the country to keep our customers’ lives moving, so these dispatcher roles will play an essential part in helping us achieve that as we gear up for our peak season."

The open day takes place at Aspect House from 9am to 8pm, during which potential employees will also be able to register their interest in the various roles.

Elaine Barrass, head of recruitment at HomeServe, added: "This is essentially an open invitation for people who might be interested in working for us to come down, find out more and speak to the team.

“We have a number of new roles being made available in Nottingham – up to 40 over the next few months – so we’d encourage people to come along and find out more.

“At HomeServe, our priority is making work a great place for everyone, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion isn’t just a series of words. We are striving to make sure our People can flourish no matter what their background, so we’d invite anyone and everyone who might be interested to come along and find out more.”

Aspect House is a major contact centre for HomeServe and it includes a training base for hundreds of employees, including trainees and engineers.

The company offers cover to customers for issues such as electrics, boilers and plumbing.
