The Tennessee Titans took the field at St. Thomas Sports Park on Monday in anticipation of Saturday’s preseason matchup against the New England Patriots as training camp continues.
The team was missing a number of players, while some look to be in the final stages of rehabbing injuries.
Here are four takeaways from Day 13’s practice.
1. Derrick Henry continues to work through injury.

Henry has been sidelined for the majority of training camp, but he’s putting in work throughout his recovery. Henry didn’t participate in practice, but he did work in the sandpit and the side field. The rusher seems to be making progress every day — a welcomed sign for this offense ahead of the season.
2. The Titans were without multiple players.

Attendance was far from perfect on Monday. The team was without Running back Derrick Henry, outside linebacker Cameron Wake, defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, running back David Fluellen, offensive lineman Frank Herron, wide and receiver Tanner McEvoy.
3. Several candidates continue to field punt returns.

The Titans are looking to solidify ever aspect of their special teams game, and they’re doing a fine job of taking care of that in practice. Adam Humphries, Adoree’ Jackson, Kalif Raymond and Papi White each fielded footballs on Monday.
4. Heavy focus on self-improvement continues.
The Titans face what could potentially be a new and improved Cleveland Browns team to open the regular season. But, they’re not shifting their attention to the strengths and weaknesses of their first real opponent just yet.
Here’s what offensive coordinator Arthur Smith had to say after practice.
