4 takeaways from Day 12 of Titans training camp practice

The Tennessee Titans took the field at St. Thomas Sports Park on Sunday in anticipation of Saturday’s preseason matchup against the New England Patriots.

Here are four takeaways from Day 12’s practice.

1. A.J. Brown returns in limited capacity.

We haven’t seen much of the rookie wideout lately as he’s been held out of practice. But he did take the practice field in a helmet on Sunday, going through early drills with the team and then working on a side field.

2. A host of other players were missing.

Running back Derrick Henry, tight end Delanie Walker, offensive lineman Nate Davis, running back David Fluellen, wide receiver Tanner McEvoy and defensive lineman Frank Herron were held out.

3. Taywan Taylor gets redemption.

The wideout didn’t have his best showing against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, but he did make up for it on Sunday.

Here’s what team reporter Jim Wyatt had to say of his performance.

“Taylor got behind cornerback Kenneth Durden and caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Taylor also made a nice catch on the sideline.”

4. Kareem Orr is drawing attention.

Many lesser-known names have impressed throoughout Titans camp. One of these is cornerback Kareem Orr, who has been gaining attention. One of his most notable plays Sunday was an interception off a deflected pass from quarterback Logan Woodside.
