The only thing Pittsburgh Steelers fans like more than playing Madden is complaining about the player ratings of their favorite team. Now that the full ratings are out for the Steelers players, we thought we’d share some of the most surprising parts about them.
Lack of respect for the defense
Despite being perhaps the best all-around defenses in the NFL, the Steelers only scored one player with a 90 rating. But the disrespect doesn’t end there. The did not include any Steelers defenders as a top 10, including safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Ben Roethlisberger nosedive

Madden rated Roethlisberger an 81 for this season. He is coming off of an injury but does Madden penalize players for missing a season? They didn’t penalize Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski for missing a full year. This is the lowest Roethlisberger has rated since he was a 79 his rookie season.
The backup quarterback situation

Yikes. If you are playing Madden and Big Ben goes down again, you might want to work a trade. Mason Rudolph could only muster a 63, Devlin Hodges a 58 and Paxton Lynch a 56. And to be completely honest, these are more than fair.
Poor Kam Canaday

Spare a little of this man’s dignity. I understand as the team’s long snapper, he isn’t asked to make a lot of athletic plays. But we’ve all seen social media posts of Canaday training. But you give him a 26 for his hard work? I can’t imagine the grief his teammates are going to give him for this one.
