4-star Texas tight end has Ohio State among finalists

Ohio State is in the running for one of the most sought after tight ends in the 2020 class. Jalin Conyers, out of Gruver, Texas, dropped his list of six final schools Friday on Twitter and the Buckeyes have made the cut.

The other programs still in the running are LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Arizona State, and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are thought to be the team to beat because of location and word on the street, but there is no timetable for an official announcement, giving Ryan Day and staff time to close whatever gap may be there.

At 6-4, 220 lbs., Conyers is rated as the No. 5 tight end in the entire class and No. 303 ranked overall recruit according to 247Sports. He of course would be a nice addition to the 2020 class and we’ll continue to keep an eye on his recruitment as things progress.
