4-Star Safety Darius Snow commits to Michigan State

Despite being heavily recruited by NCAA powerhouses, it always seemed inevitable that Darius Snow would eventually commit to Michigan State.

Darius is the son of former Spartan star and point guard for the Jud Heathcoate Spartan basketball team Eric Snow, as well as the nephew of former Linebacker for the Spartans Percy Snow.

Snow was scheduled to visit a number of teams around the country, but he instead surprisingly made his commitment immediately after attending the Spartans Spring Game last weekend. While I’m sure his familial ties to the University played a big role in his recruitment, I think we can also thank the atmosphere at Michigan State’s Spring Game.

As I wrote earlier this week, the Spring Game provides an awesome environment for MSU fans and recruits to experience what is so cool about life in East Lansing. Big alumni names like Miles Bridges, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Darqueze Dennard all made appearances at the annual event, which I’m sure was a cool experience for Snow, and any other recruits in attendance.

For what it’s worth, Darius Snow is a hard-hitting safety, listed at at 6’0″ tall, 215 pounds and he is the 20th ranked Safety in the country, 234th overall. Michigan State is now fielding the 47th best recruiting class in the country, according to 247sports.com
