On Thursday, four-star safety Avantae Williams released his Top 7 schools, which included Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oregon, and Ole Miss.
The 2020 safety is from Deland, Florida, and plays football for Deland High School. He stands 5″11′ and weighs 170 pounds, and also has an impressive 4.52-second 40-yard-dash time and a vertical leap over 36 inches.
Williams is currently committed to play for the Oregon Ducks, although that didn’t stop him from releasing a new Top 7.
Safety is one of the few positions in which the Dawgs do not already have a four or five-star recruit committed for the 2020 class, so in this respect, a commitment from Williams would be great news to bolster the defensive backfield depth. He is set to announce his final decision soon.
