It has seemed like Tom Izzo is trying to recruit every power forward in the world, and that trend will continue with the official visit of power forward Caleb Furst on January 4th. Furst was originally slated to visit September 27th but the date was moved back to coincide with the MSU-Michigan basketball game.
The news was reported today by Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.
According to 247sports, Furst is the 8th ranked power forward in the 2021 recruiting class, the #2 recruit in Indiana, and the #31 ranked prospect overall. He is currently attending Blackhawk Christian School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Michigan State has already offered Furst, along with a slew of other Big Ten schools such as Indiana, Ohio State, Purdue, and Iowa. Furst took an official visit to Purdue at the end of August and will be taking another official with Virginia.
