4 stand out 2024 NFL draft prospects the Browns could target from Senior Bowl

It officially feels like the 2024 NFL Draft season once the Reese’s Senior Bowl arrives each year as players look to build and solidify their draft position. Could the Cleveland Browns have their eyes on a handful of players in Mobile, Alabama?

With a ton of talent at the wide receiver position on display, the Browns had an extra benefit with their own assistant wide receiver coach Callie Brownson coaching the position for the National Team.

This year is also a good year to draft an offensive lineman, especially at the tackle position with the athletes at the position in this year’s class. Senior Bowl practices were full of great matchups in the trenches with one-on-one drills that were full to watch.

You have to be careful that you don’t put too much weight into one week of practice but it’s certainly good to pay attention to the week. There will be plenty of talent to choose from in April as the Browns look to build on their success in 2023.

Here are four players that stood out to me this week as players that really helped their draft stock.

CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo

Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell absolutely dominated the Mid-American Conference the past couple of seasons as one of the country’s best lockdown corners. The question would be coming from a smaller school if Mitchell could replicate his success against better competition.

Mitchell did just that as he shut down just about every player he went up against in practices. Typically one-on-one drills for wide receivers and corners heavily favor the wide receivers yet Mitchell one a vast majority of his reps.

There is a good chance that Mitchell is taken in the first round but if he slips a bit the Browns could absolutely target him.

WR Roman Wilson, Michigan

Michigan wide receiver Roman Wilson (1)

One of the only wide receivers who won against Quinyon Mitchell in individual drills was the explosive Roman Wilson. He lacked the college production but as he showed this week he is a natural separator with good body control and great hands.

Wilson isn’t a finished product but as he showed this week he is a player that can create dynamic and impactful plays. The Browns should take a look at Wilson on day two to make their offense more dynamic.

OT Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma

One of the more raw prospects in this class is offensive tackle Tyler Guyton from Oklahoma. Though his technique needs work it is clear that Guyton has rare physical gifts that you just cannot teach. He is a great athlete for his size and it is clear that he is winning right now by just being a superior athlete with raw power.

All of this was on display this week as he had some of the best reps of any of the offensive linemen in Mobile. He is huge so winning by getting into his chest won’t work he moves great against athletic players and if properly developed he could be a great NFL offensive lineman.

OT Dominick Puni, Kansas

Dominick Puni is an interesting prospect and during his time at the Senior Bowl, he played every position on the offensive line. He got reps at tackle, guard, and center and did a good job showing off just how versatile and valuable he could be for a team at the next level.

He is a guy with a ton of experience and is a good athlete at the position with long arms and one of the best motors at the Senior Bowl. He showed explosiveness off the line of scrimmage this week and helped his draft stock with a great week.
