As we continue through the NFL offseason, let us check in with what is happening around the rest of the division. What has been going on with the Seattle Seahawks? Here are some stories from the last week.
They decline 5th-year option on Germain Ifedi

The Arizona Cardinals are not the only team who will let their 2016 first-round pick become a free agent after the season. Just as they did with Robert Nkemdiche, the Seahawks declined the fifth-year contract option on offensive lineman Germain Ifedi.
The Seahawks, though, still publicly say they want Ifedi on the team for a long time.
LB Bobby Wagner preparing for potential final season with Seahawks

The Seahawks made quarterback Russell Wilson the highest-paid player in the game and they have had to let other players go. Wagner is a player they want to keep but Wagner has not yet entered contract talks with the team. While he intends on signing a new contract and eventually retiring with the Seahawks, he is preparing for the season as if it were his final one in Seattle.
Seattle holds rookie minicamp

Seattle already held their rookie minicamp. Arizona’s will be this coming weekend. Among the events, they had bad quarterback play and undrafted rookie receiver Jazz Ferguson has looked good.
DK Metcalf makes news

Metcalf was one of the biggest losers in the draft, expected to be a first-round pick and first receiver off the board. He didn’t get drafted until the second round by the Seahawks, in part because of his reputation of not being able to do certain things as a receiver. He called himself a complete receiver. Coach Pete Carroll thinks Metcalf is even better than they thought.
