The Arizona Cardinals are definitely not in the Super Bowl. However, Cardinals fans will be watching when the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs take the field to determine the world champions.
As Cardinals fans, it should be pretty clear which team you root for.
You should root for the Chiefs.
Here are the reasons why.
Many Cardinals connections on the Chiefs

As noted earlier today, the Chiefs have five former Cardinals players, including safety Tyrann Mathieu. The 49ers have zero former Cardinals. Even if you aren’t a fan of Mathieu because of how he left, the other former Cardinals were likable players.
The Patrick Mahomes-Kyler Murray connection

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury was Mahomes’ college coach. He will certainly be rooting for him. Plus, Mahomes is one of the pro comps for Kyler Murray. If Murray is to be like Mahomes, Cardinals fans should want Mahomes to be a champion. That means Murray can be.
The 49ers are a division rival

Cardinals fans shouldn’t be rooting for a division rival, especially one that the Cardinals should have beaten twice. Some subscribe to the theory of rooting for a team in their division if their team can’t make it. That’s crazy. Imagine Cardinals fans in the 1990s rooting for the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. No.
49ers fans are the worst

Do you know a 49ers fan? Imagine him or her if the 49ers win the Super Bowl. Yuck. All the talk of their sixth title and their defense and Jimmy Garoppolo. If you can’t be happy as a Cardinals fan, you don’t want those 49ers fans happy.
