4 Ravens who could be on the trading block in 2019

The Baltimore Ravens have a full 90-man roster. In fact, thanks to having an International Pathway Program player, fullback Chris Ezeala, they are actually above the normal limit with 91 players.

As injuries happen and teams’ needs become greater, the Ravens could look to trade away some of their talent and gain picks in the 2020 NFL draft. Let’s take a look at the few Baltimore players who could be on the trading block this summer.

The Ravens found a real gem last offseason before Vedvik suffered a head injury in an assault and was put on injured reserve for the season. This offseason, Baltimore has been transparent that they’ll look to trade Vedvik if they can find a partner.

With how important kicking has been around the league, there’s bound to be a few teams interested in giving up a Day 3 draft selection to have a strong-legged and accurate kicker like Vedvik.

Baltimore is deep at running back. They have last year’s starter, Gus Edwards, and added Mark Ingram through free agency and Justice Hill through the draft. That, combined with Dixon’s injury and suspension history, will leave him with an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster.

But teams are always on the lookout for good weapons, and Dixon has shown he’s capable when healthy.

This is where the extreme depth Baltimore has could create problems. The Ravens have five safeties right now. Earl Thomas and Tony Jefferson aren’t going anywhere as the starters, which leaves Clark, Elliott and Anthony Levine.

Levine is a hybrid linebacker/defensive back and has gotten major playing time in recent years, so I doubt Baltimore looks to trade him. That means Clark and/or Elliott could be an option to be dealt in the trim down to 53 players.
