Baltimore Ravens players have put up incredible individual performances over the years — Jamal Lewis’ 295 rushing yards against the Cleveland Browns in 2003, Joe Flacco’s three touchdowns and 331 passing yards in 2012’s ”Mile High Miracle” and Anquan Boldin’s seven catches for 140 yards in a 2011 comeback victory over his former team all come to mind.
Pro Football Focus recently took a look at the 100 best single-game individual performances since the 2006 season — when the analytics website started grading NFL games — and Ravens players received several nods on the list. While none of the above performances was mentioned by Pro Football Focus, the four Baltimore players named to the list are equally deserving of the honor for their excellent outings.
No. 98: Kelechi Osemele, G
Osemele received a 95.6 overall grade for his Week 5 performance against the Browns in 2015. Osemele allowed a single rush on 38 pass-blocking snaps, earning a 95.6 pass-blocking grade for his efforts. It was an all-around top-notch day for Osemele, who also had a 93.9 run-blocking grade.
No. 78: Ed Reed, S
Had Pro Football Focus started grading games before 2006, Reed would likely have a few more appearances on the list. Nonetheless, Reed’s best outing in the PFF era was one for the books; in a 2009 divisional-round loss to the Indianapolis Colts, he intercepted two passes and logged a pass breakup despite not being targeted in primary coverage once. For his efforts, Reed received a lofty 95.9 overall grade.
No. 77: Corey Graham, CB
Graham was targeted three times in a Week 12 contest with the New York Jets in 2013. The end result of those targets was a pass breakup and a couple of interceptions for Graham. Mark Chichester of Pro Football Focus writes that Graham’s 95.9 coverage grade for the day is “tied for the 15th-best single-game mark of the PFF era.”
No. 75: Marshal Yanda, G
Yanda was especially dominant in the Ravens’ Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014. His career-high 96.1 run-blocking grade for the game has been topped only once. Yanda performed admirably against the pass rush, too, allowing a single rush over 31 pass-blocking snaps.
