4 players have signed tenders with Broncos so far

After signing wide receivers Diontae Spencer and Tim Patrick to exclusive rights free agent tenders, the Denver Broncos also signed nose tackle Mike Purcell and offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson to tenders, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

Unlike Spencer and Patrick, who received league-minimum ERFA offers, Purcell and Wilkinson received second-round tenders worth $3.259 million, keeping them with the team at least through the 2020 season.

Purcell is projected to start in the middle of Denver’s defensive line this season and Wilkinson will likely serve as the team’s top backup swing guard/tackle. Depending on the results of the Broncos’ offseason competition — and the draft — Wilkinson could potentially win a starting job.

After getting Patrick and Spencer signed, Denver still has three ERFAs left to sign: safety Trey Marshall, offensive tackle Jake Rodgers and cornerback Shakial Taylor. Those three players are expected to sign their tenders by Friday, according to Klis.

The Broncos currently have 11 open spots on the roster.
