4 people fined following reports of a hot tub birthday party in Bulwell

Fines were handed out to people celebrating a birthday party in a back garden in Bulwell over the weekend.

Officers from the Bulwell Response Team reported finding a group of people 'enjoying the use of a hot tub' during the event on Saturday, February 20.

In total, four people were fined for breaching Covid regulations. The address was not released by the force.

In a statement on the Bulwell, Rise Park and Highbury Vale Police Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "Clearly this was in breach of Covid Regulations and due to this four people were issued with a Covid fine.

"We would like to remind members of the public that although we have recently had government advice in relation to the roadmap out of the current coronavirus pandemic, all current restrictions and legislation remain in place for the short term.

"There is light at the end of the tunnel and we need to pull together as a community, remain patient and abide by the restrictions in place."

The incident came on the same weekend officers were called to the Top House pub car park in Bulwell and handed a £10,000 fine to the organiser of a street church.
