4 most intriguing games on Broncos’ 2020 schedule

The official schedule won’t be released for the 2020 NFL season for a couple of months but we do know which opponents the Denver Broncos will play next season.

Yes, this is early. The 2019 season recently concluded and things like free agency and the draft could change this list entirely in a few months. But it’s the offseason and during the offseason, you will see a lot of projections and predictions for the upcoming season.

That’s how hardcore football fans help cope with the fact that football season is over.

So here we are, in early February, projecting what will be the four most intriguing games for the Broncos next season.

We’ll start right at the top with the team that will go into the 2020 season as the reigning champions.

The Chiefs are the team that is currently giving John Elway and the rest of his staff nightmares as they try to figure out just how the Broncos are going to overcome this huge obstacle within the AFC West division.

Not only are the Chiefs the defending Super Bowl champions, but they have also won nine straight games against the Broncos dating back to when Peyton Manning was the team’s quarterback.

2. New England Patriots

How will the Patriots look next season? Will Tom Brady be the quarterback? Will they even win the AFC East?

The Patriots have been the league’s dominant team for nearly two decades, but many feel that ship has finally sailed. Still, it’s a team coached by Bill Belichick and it’s a team that could easily bounce back because it’s what this team does.

The Patriots will be one of the most intriguing teams in the entire league next year.

3. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are on this list for two reasons and in this case, this would be the game in which the Broncos go on the road to play them.

For one, it’s the Raiders. It’s one of the best rivalries in football and for that reason alone, it will be an intriguing game. Also, this will be the Broncos’ first trip to the Raiders’ new home in Las Vegas.

That will be a fun game.

4. New Orleans Saints

The Broncos will play games against the NFC South next season as their inter-conference opponents. That means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers will also appear on the schedule.

But the Saints are by far the most intriguing opponent as they have been the best team in that division for the past few seasons and Drew Brees still plays at a high level in an explosive offense (assuming Brees will return to New Orleans next year).

The Saints will present a stiff challenge for the Broncos. This game will be played in Denver, where the Broncos hold a 5-1 all-time record against New Orleans.
