4 intriguing NBA free agency moments that came out of All-Star weekend

The 2019 NBA All-Star weekend is over, which means we’re that much closer to a summer filled with free agency madness.

But did the summer actually begin during All-Star weekend?

There were quite a few moments that die-hards dissected during the break, with everyone looking for clues as to where the big names — Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving and others — might be headed or if they’re staying when the season ends. We rounded them up because it’s fun … and let’s be honest, there’s not much to do between now and when the 2018-19 season resumes.

Here’s a look at what went down:

1. Durant and Irving looked chummy

It could mean nothing. Or it could mean the two of them love playing together and are leaving the Warriors and Celtics respectively.

2. Kawhi Leonard called Toronto “cold”

ZOMG HE’S LEAVING!!!!

“It’s a great energy out there. The fans come out, they’re very supportive. It’s a great city, there’s a lot to do. I was just talking earlier, it’s just been cold. The snow does look nice on days, but you just need a jacket to go outside. I’m not used to wearing boots and everything. But as far as the whole city, team, coaching staff, organization, fans, it’s been great.”

But did you hear that? The organization, fans and city are great! HE’S STAYING!!!

3. The Anthony Davis and LeBron James photo

This HAS to mean something (lol).

4. Anthony Davis’s list of teams he’d sign an extension with changed

This was actually the most concrete free agency thing to happen all weekend. The Pelicans center said every team was on his list, although as our Nick Schwartz wrote, we shouldn’t be fooled by all of this because that’s exactly what he’s supposed to say.
