4 highlights from NBA All-Star media day, including De’Aaron Fox vs. In-N-Out

NBA players in Charlotte for this weekend’s All-Star festivities faced the media on Saturday afternoon, and Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox used the opportunity to reiterate his stance on beloved burger chain In-N-Out.

Fox, a Whataburger enthusiast, weighed in on the hamburger wars back in 2017, when he called In-N-Out overrated. On Saturday, Fox said there’s a long list of places he’d eat before considering In-N-Out.

“[Whataburger] is open 24 hours, you know what I’m saying? After any type of game, everybody going. Whataburger’s just better than In-N-Out. It’s not the fact that I would compare Whataburger and In-N-Out, it’s just the fact that In-N-Out’s not good. There’s a lot of burger places I would eat over In-N-Out.”

What else did we learn on Media Day? Reporter Danny Green confirmed that Wizards guard Bradley Beal is *not* changing his son’s first name to ‘Batmo.’

Damian Lillard considers himself the J Cole of the NBA.

“I think I just play the game the right way. It’s not really flashy and it’s not really for everybody, but I think I’m the best. I go out there and I produce that way.”

Kawhi Leonard on Toronto: “It’s cold.”

“It’s a great city, a lot to do. It’s just been cold. You know, the snow does look nice on days but you just need a jacket to go outside. I’m not used to it. Wearing boots and everything.”
