4 fire crews tackling huge 3,000 square metre blaze

Four fire crews have been dispatched to tackle a huge blaze in Hucknall this evening (Sunday, April 26).

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service says it is dealing with 3,000 square metres of grass and undergrowth which caught fire near Annesley Road.

The fire crews were called to the fire at around 8.26pm.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service is also attending the incident.

A fire service spokesperson added: "Notts Fire is currently dealing with a fire involving 3000 square metres of grass and undergrowth on fire near to Annesley Road, Hucknall. 

"We currently have four appliances in attendance from Hucknall Station, Arnold Station, Eastwood Station and Alfreton."

The cause of the fire is currently unknown at this time, and the fire service is continuing to fight the blaze.
