We take Bachelor Fantasy League very seriously here at For The Win, but this season ended with a whimper rather than a bang.
In an apparent effort to hide Cassie’s obvious return to the show in the finale, ABC forced players to select between Hannah G. and Tayshia – and both were sent home before they could ever score points in several categories.
Here are four easy ways ABC can fix Bachelor Fantasy League for Hannah B.’s season:
1. Locking in a pre-season prediction
Players need to have more ways to score points beyond the eight categories per week. Each season should start with a player picking the winner out of the entire cast. If you get it right, you earn some massive jackpot of roses.
2. Changing up the categories
There are only so many weeks where a category like “kisses Colton” isn’t a given for all of the women remaining. Categories should generally get more specific as the show progresses.
3. Escalating the points payout throughout the season
As it stands, nailing your picks early in the season is far more important than picking the right contestant at the end of the year, as you can earn the most points with a large roster. In Week 10, for example, Hannah G. earned a paltry 15 points. Cassie – who was ineligible to be picked this week – was the only woman left to get the final rose following her return. Making the right choice late in the season should be more valuable than getting lucky with your guesses on night No. 1.
4. Picking a star of the week
Let’s spice things up. Each week, you can predict which cast member will be the highest scoring of the bunch. If you make the right selection, that woman earns double points for you.
