With the NFL Draft a little more than 24 hours away, draft day scenarios and selections could alter the career of several players, with a number of current players getting demoted or traded from their current teams. Joe Flacco went from Ravens starter before the 2018 draft, to on the clock after the Ravens selected Lamar Jackson at the back end of the first round.
whether it be players on expiring contracts or the players drafted just being an upgrade at certain positions, here are four prospective Eagles players who could see their role with the team disappear or get severely altered during this wekends NFL Draft.
Nelson Agholor
There’s been conversation about Agholor’s status with the Eagles for months now, and on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport reported that Agholor could still be on the move via trade, as teams around the league feel like he’s available.
With mocks projecting Oklahoma’s Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown to the Eagles, Agholor could immediately be on the move for a mid-round pick from teams hoping to acquire a game changer via trade. Agholor also is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

Rasul Douglas
Douglas has always seemed like he’s just one quality intangible away from being a productive starter in the NFL.
Douglas showed improvement during the Eagles Super Bowl winning season in 2017, as Pro Football Focus gave Douglas an overall grade of 61.2, which ranked 87th among all qualifying cornerbacks. The grade would seem that Douglas is no better than a third cornerback at best, and if not for a bevy of injuries to the Eagles secondary, he may not have even been on the roster last season. An aggressive, physical player at the point of attack, Douglas will fight to secure a roster spot filled with names like Jalen Mills, Avonte Maddox, Sidney Jones, Cre’Von LeBlanc, and Ronald Darby on the corner. If the Eagles draft another corner or a safety like Florida’s Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Rasul Douglas could be the odd man out in an already crowded secondary.

Kamu Grugier-Hill
The Eagles’ depth chart will look different in May when the team takes the field for the first time, and the priortiy at linebacker could be a lot different on Monday if the Eagles use a first or second round pick on a linebacker after Jordan Hicks’ departure. The Eagles have shown patience in the development of Kamu Grugier-Hill and Nate Gerry, both entering their third seasons. The Eagles signed veteran L.J. Fort in free agency, and if the Eagles target a player like Devin Bush or Blake Cashman, Kamu or Gerry could be the odd man out.

Jordan Mailata
Mailata is supposed to be the player in waiting when Jason Peters retires, but what happens if a player like Tytus Howard of Alabama State or Greg Little of Ole Miss are on the board and Howie Roseman just can’t help himself. There are several uncertainties along the Eagles offensive front, and where Mailata stands in the pecking order is one of them.
