The Arizona Cardinals, despite losing 20-9 to the Minnesota Vikings in their third preseason game, were overall pleased with their play. Several players saw their stock go up with their play.
However, that was not the case for everyone.
Here are the players whose stock went down.
LB Dennis Gardeck

Gardeck did not play poorly. He had three tackles and a broken up pass. He added a special teams tackle. However, he was bumped from the starting lineup by Joe Walker.
OLB Andre Branch

Branch played 22 snaps on defense and did not log a single stat. He also only played one snap on special teams. It would appear that he is behind both Brooks Reed and Pete Robertson in the battle at outside linebacker.
C A.Q. Shipley

Shipley’s inclusion on this list has nothing to do with his play. It is about perception. It was believed he had the starting center job locked up. He split snaps with Mason Cole on the first team on Saturday and Kliff Kingsbury said after the game he still hasn’t decided who will be the guy. Because he has gone from being the presumed starter to a question mark, his stock has gone down.
Andy Isabella

Isabella caught one pass but dropped another and overall was just okay. It is clear the time he missed because of injury has affected him. He is going to make the team but it looks like he will be at the very bottom of the depth chart.
