As we look ahead to the 2019 season, players like Larry Fitzgerald, David Johnson, Patrick Peterson and Chandler Jones are expected to perform at a high level. They have been to Pro Bowls before.
But who are the players who could step up and have banner years, potentially earning their first Pro Bowl appearance?
They have to be players who have shown promise in the past, be in a position to produce in 2019.
Who are some of those players on the Cardinals?
WR Christian Kirk

Kirk was promising as a rookie. Early reviews this offseason show he looks very good, especially in an offense familiar to him and keenly suited for his skills. He could be a breakout star on offense if the passing game is as dynamic as many believe it can be.
QB Kyler Murray

I know he is a rookie and there are QBs in the NFC like Russell Wilson, Jared Goff, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers, but Murray is intriguing. Rookie QBs have made the Pro Bowl before and Murray enters a situation unlike other rookies. He doesn’t have to adjust nearly as much to the pros because the Cardinals are building the offense around what he is used to.
This is not a projection that he will make the Pro Bowl. It acknowledges that he is one of the more likely Cardinals to make their first Pro Bowl.
S D.J. Swearinger

Swearinger has been a solid player for years in the league. He has not yet been a Pro Bowl player. The Cardinals are counting on him to lead the back end of the defense. He has played in the defensive system Vance Joseph has brought in and Cardinals safeties often produce.
LB Jordan Hicks

Hicks has been a very productive linebacker in the NFL but has missed time because of injuries. His ability to intercept passes, collect tackles and pressure the quarterback gives him the potential to put up big all-around numbers. If he stays healthy and produces at a level the Cardinals believe he is capable, he could find his way to the Pro Bowl for the first time.
