£4.8million project set to upgrade Dumbarton water network

Work has begun on a £4.8million project which is aimed to improve the local water network.

Scottish Water have been carrying out preparatory work in Milton ahead of the start of the project in earnest in January.

A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “Preparatory work is under way in this area of Milton ahead of future investment in improvements to our infrastructure and service to customers.

“Work on the £4.8million project, which will help improve resilience on the local water network, is set to begin in January and is anticipated to be completed by spring.

“The majority of the work will take place on private land.

“We will continue to liaise with West Dunbartonshire Council and keep local residents updated as this investment work progresses.”
