(80). While nine of the new Covid patients had returned from outside the state, 4,305 people contracted the virus through contact. The infection source of 205 patients remains unidentified. Thirty-eight health workers also tested positive for Covid-19.

A total of 58,817 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Among the 43,771 active Covid cases reported, only 7.6% of patients have been admitted to hospitals.

Now, 96.4% of the eligible population has received a single dose of the vaccine, while 67.3% received two doses of the vaccine. Kerala has the highest number of vaccinations per million in India, the health department said.
