49ers donate $1M to help fight injustice, inequality
As the country struggles with the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the protests happening throughout the country, 49ers CEO Jed York issued a statement and announced a $1 million donation from the team to fight injustice and discrimination.
49ers, George Kittle not close to extension
While the Cardinals appear to have had little progress on contract extension talks with players like Patrick Peterson, DeAndre Hopkins and Kenyan Drake, the 49ers are not close to a new deal with tight end George Kittle. Kittle enters the final year of his contract.
Dee Ford has knee surgery
Ford missed five games last season and suffered knee issues for much of the season. He had a severe case of tendonitis. He has had offseason surgery and feels great now.
49ers are playoff favorites in NFC
The Arizona Cardinals are given only a 25% chance to make the playoffs, per ESPN’s Football Power Index. The 49ers are a favorite. They are a top-five team, projected to have 10.2 wins and have an 81% chance of making the playoffs.
