BHOPAL: Four major cities of Madhya Pradesh - Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur - accounted for 23% of the entire vaccine utilised across the state on Wednesday. About 4.48 lakh doses were administered across the state with half of those being administered as second shots to protect the beneficiaries against Covid-19.
Around 2,700 vaccine sites were operational in the state on Wednesday, according to government data. Only 15% people who have got the first jab, have received the mandatory second shot in MP while country average for the same is 18.7%.
In Indore 42,675 got the vac jabs on Wednesday. Second in number of vaccines administered was Bhopal at 27,764. In Jabalpur 22,861 doses were administered and 13,363 got the shots in Gwalior.
Least doses were administered in Ratlam 2,471, Barwani 2,190, Agar 2,109, Burhanpur 1,556 and Harda 1,542.
Overall in MP, 22474453 doses have been administered since January 16, and 18979114 have received the first dose while 3495339 people have been fully inoculated.
