T'PURAM: As many as 4,352 Keralites who are stranded in Ukraine have registered with the Norka to be evacuated, as per the latest data released by the chief minister's office.
The largest number of registrations are from Kharkiv National Medical University 686. Also, there are 560 registrations from the Sumy State Medical University and 466 registrations from Zaporizhzhia State Medical University. On Tuesday, as many as 53 students reached the state in evacuation flights.
As part of ensuring smooth travel of the students from New Delhi, the state government has appointed a special team in the Kerala House in Delhi. The team includes joint secretary A Zulfikar Rahman, who has been appointed as a protocol officer who will also hold the charge of the liaison officer.
The CM also urged all those from the state in Ukraine to take note of the Indian embassy's advisory that all Indians should leave Ukraine at the earliest. TNN
