'4-3-3?' - Fans react as Manchester United name team to face QPR

Manchester United's team news is in for their second pre-season friendly against Queens Park Rangers and fans are excited to see a potential new formation.

After announcing a new contract for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this morning, the boss has named a starting lineup with several first-team regulars in the team including the returning Daniel James out wide.

Facundo Pellistri is rewarded for his goal against Derby County with a start, while Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard start centrally ahead of Nemanja Matic in midfield which suggests a potential switch to a 4-3-3 formation instead of the usual 4-2-3-1 shape.

Fans have responded to the potential switch in a positive manner, hopeful that it may mean an even more attacking approach from United going into the game.

There has been plenty of talk about a potential switch in formations this season and Solskjaer has seemingly pulled the trigger on the change for his side.

The bench is full of young talent with all of Nathan Bishop, Will Fish, Di'Shon Bernard, Ethan Galbraith, James Garner, Dylan Levitt, Shola Shoretire, Hannibal Mejbri, Anthony Elanga and Joe Hugill named alongside Lee Grant and Juan Mata as substitutes.

Tahith Chong has joined up with Birmingham City for his loan deal, while Alex Telles and Scott McTominay are not involved in the squad for the game.
