Jim Davidson bowed out from his last Generation Game on Saturday night, with just over 3 million viewers tuning in to BBC1.
The last Jim Davidson's Generation Game had probably the show's lowest audience ever, with 3.1 million viewers and a 24% audience share between 5.30pm and 6.25pm on Saturday night, according to unofficial overnights.
The Generation Game previously hit a low of 3.3 million viewers in January, when it was up against ITV1's runaway hit Pop Idol.
On Saturday the Generation Game beat ITV1's Mr Bean: the Animated Series, which had 1.7 million viewers and a 14% audience share between 5.35pm and 6pm.
Elsewhere on Saturday night, BBC1 drama The Secret - a thriller starring Hadyn Gwynne, Robert Bathurst and Stella Gonet - had 5.9 million viewers and a 29% audience share between 9pm and 10pm.
The Secret beat ITV1's Screen Tests of the Stars, which had 4.5 million viewers and a 22% audience share between 9pm and 10pm.
On Friday night, new Channel 4 comedy drama The Book Group opened with a solid 2.1 million viewers and a 10% audience share between 9.30pm and 10pm.
The Book Group was up against BBC2's US Masters golf coverage, which drew 2.2 million viewers between 9.30pm and 10pm.
Earlier in the evening Tamzin Outhwaite's tearful exit from EastEnders attracted 11.1 million viewers and a 52% audience share between 8pm and 8.30pm.
But EastEnders was still beaten by Coronation Street, which had 11.6 million viewers between 7.30pm and 8pm.
