3D technology firm launches recruitment drive as part of expansion plans

A technology firm producing 3D maps of buildings, mines and forests is launching a recruitment drive in a bid to capitalise on a year of growth - with overseas travel being offered to employees.

Based at Ruddington Fields Business Park, GeoSLAM is looking for people to take on roles in areas such as software development, human resources and technical support.

The firm has positioned itself as a global expert in the 3D mapping field and has created products such as handheld laser scanners and software to provide users with quick 3D data.

As part of its global growth ambitions, GeoSLAM is creating more than 20 new jobs with successful candidates in some roles also being given the opportunity to build complex software systems.

CEO of GeoSLAM, Shelly Copsey, said: "Our recruitment drive is the next step in our company growth.

GeoSLAM provides its services in a number of industries including surveying, mining and engineering and facilities and asset management.

It was founded in 2012 and was previously based in Bingham before relocating its headquarters to Ruddington in 2017. Today, it has global offices and distributors in the USA, South Africa and Australia.

With its new growth plans, the company says it is keen to "bring opportunity and talent to the East Midlands", describing its Nottinghamshire headquarters as central to its global expansion.
