393 jabbed in IIM-Calcutta vaccination drive

KOLKATA: The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta organized the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive on campus for its students, staff and faculty along with their family members. In all, 393 persons were vaccinated at the camp with the first and second dose of Covishield and Covaxin vaccines.

The day-long vaccination camp was organized in partnership with a private diagnostics clinic, with permission from the chief medical officer of health, South 24 Parganas.

The doses were administered in the new academic block building and amphitheatre on the Joka premises.

The institute had launched the first phase of the drive on June 7 where 296 persons, including faculty members, officers, staff and their family members along with contractual employees, were vaccinated.

Prof Manish Thakur, dean (new initiatives and external relations), said, “We are committed to the health and safety of all our community members. This vaccination drive is a demonstration of our resolve to create a safe environment for all.”
