390 cases in south Tamil Nadu, 161 in central region

Tamil Nadu Covid-19 Madurai Trichy

MADURAI/TRICHY: The ten southern districts of the state reported 390 fresh Covid-19 cases on Friday. In Madurai, a total of 29 new Covid-19 cases and 44 recoveries were recorded, taking the number of active cases to 237 in the district. Meanwhile, Trichy recorded 51 fresh cases on Friday. The number of active cases slipped to 362 on Friday, while it was 386 on Thursday. The district discharged 74 patients.

The ten southern districts of Tamil Nadu reported 438 recoveries on Friday. The total active Covid-19 cases in the southern region declined to 2,699

The nine central districts posted 161 fresh cases on Friday.The number of active cases of the region slightly went up to 1,069 on Friday while it was 1,034 on Thursday.
