38 journalists killed in six months

In the six months since November 2005, 38 journalists have been killed and hundreds of others have been the victims of harassment and physical violence. The figures were revealed today in a report about the deterioration of press freedom by the World Association of Newspapers on the eve of its annual congress in Moscow. (Via wan-press.org)
