37-year-old man rushed to hospital after being hit by van in West Lothian

A 37-year-old man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a van in West Lothian.

Police rushed to East Main Street in Armadale after being alerted to the incident at around 8am on Tuesday.

Ambulance crews attended to the injured man, and he was taken away to Monklands General Hospital for further treatment. The road was closed for a period while emergency teams dealt with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8am on Tuesday, 28 January, officers were called to a report of a man having been struck by a van on East Main Street, Armadale.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Monklands General Hospital to be treated.

"The road was closed for a short period of time."
