£36m indoor water park just one hour from Nottingham gives major update for families

With the new year underway, a popular indoor waterpark that attracts people from far and wide has confirmed the return of parent and toddler sessions.

The Wave is an indoor water park right in the middle of Coventry city centre and is definitely one to visit this summer as it includes six water slides, a wave machine and a splash zone for younger children.

From high-speed slides and a fun-packed splash zone to the wave pool and relaxing lazy river, there’s something for thrill, spill and chill seekers of all ages to enjoy.

It's not too far a drive, either, clocking in at just over an hour from Nottingham via the M1 and M69.

The building reportedly cost £36.7 million to build and each level is connected via a spiralling ramp to ensure all ages and abilities can access the fun.

In a statement on Facebook, The Wave said: "Our Parent and Toddler sessions return to The Wave on Wednesday 12th January.

"Every Wednesday, 1-2pm.

"These sessions are perfect for you and your little ones to enjoy The Reef & The Lazy River."

You’ll also find a 25m swimming pool, cycling studio and squash courts within The Wave.

When visiting The Wave, you will receive up to four hours parking in Coventry City Council’s Salt Lane Car Park at a discounted rate.
