34,500 Covid-19 jabs administered in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: A total of 34,535 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in the state on Friday, said health bulletin released by directorate of health services.

This 34,535 number of vaccine doses administered includes both the vaccines administered to pregnant woman at the government hospitals as well as the vaccine doses administered at private hospitals.

Mass Covid-19 vaccination is not conducted on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays in the state, it is only at private hospitals that vaccination is carried out on these dates. Apart from it, vaccination of pregnant woman started in the state from July 23 onwards, this vaccination is however only carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays when normal universal vaccination is carried out.

Among the districts where maximum vaccination was carried out on Friday includes Neemuch where 8,499 vaccine doses were administered, followed by Gwalior where 3,550 vaccine doses were administered and then Datia where 2806 vaccine doses were administered. So far, a total of 3.09 doses of vaccines have been administered in the state till July 30. TNN
