A further 2,372 people have been diagnosed with Covid in the last 24 hours in Scotland as the number of hospital patients with the virus continued to rise.
Latest data has been published this afternoon by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland as part of the national COVID-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, 338 people are in hospital which is an increase of 51 from Friday. There are currently 30 people with the disease being treated in ICU.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has risen by 116 to 21,698.
Of the new cases, 39 were from East Ayrshire and 39 were attributed to North Ayrshire. There were 39 new cases in South Ayrshire.
A total of 297,485 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.296 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Zero new cases were recorded in the Orkney Islands from the latest monitoring period.

According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dundee City has the highest infection rate in the country – at 899.4 as of Sunday, July 4.
The second-highest is Midlothian which has a rate of 756.0 while East Lothian (610.7) has the third-highest rate.
Locally, East Ayrshire's infection rate stands at 432.8 with North Ayrshire at 273.1. South Ayrshire's is 262.9.
Currently, 19 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 422.7.

No further deaths have been announced in the last 24 hours which means 7,729 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,168 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, June 27 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 128,222 as of last night.
There are 16 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is the same as yesterday, and fewer than five in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 3,869,223 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 2,774,136 have received their second dose.
