Fat American tourist who forced flight attendant to wipe his bum dies on Thai holiday

A 31-stone American tourist who forced a flight attendant to wipe his backside and moaned with pleasure as she did it has died in a Thai island famed for prostitution.

EVA Air, which was plunged into a scandal due to its response to the incident, said it learned of the man's death as it planned to formally ban him from travelling with them ever again.

The passenger was reportedly flying from Los Angeles to Taiwan's Taoyuan airport when he requested that flight attendants help undress him in the business class lavatory.

He allegedly threatened to relieve himself on the floor if they did not assist him.

Citing an injury to his right hand, the passenger then forced one of the senior crew members to wipe his backside three times, allegedly moaning: "Oh, mmm, deeper, deeper."

The passenger was scheduled to take EVA Air flight 212 from Bangkok to Taipei on 17th May before dying of an as yet undisclosed illness during a lengthy holiday on the Thai island of Ko Samui.

The island is popular with tourists and has a reputation for prostitution.

EVA Air said they attempted to contact the tourist, who was never named for legal reasons, through a lawyer in the US but were told that he had died in early March.

The cause of his death is due to an unspecified illness.

Cheng Chao-yang, spokesman for the airline which only hires female cabin crew, said in a press conference this week that the company had decided to officially blacklist the tourist over the scandal on January 19.

Cheng said the airline would contact the tourist's family regarding a ticket refund.

He added that the two flight attendants involved, who both claimed to have been traumatised by the incident in January, are both on extended paid leave.
